THE TIME HAS COME!

Welcome to Adidas AW/15 press day! I have been fortunate enough to show so many people around from all different backgrounds to celebrities, press, bloggers, social media gurus and journalists around our amazing show rooms I have been managing. It was such a great day and sad to see the other interns had finished at the end of the day so it is just me left again. My manager even gave me a Y3 dress to wear for the event and to keep it!

AGAIN SORRY!

Ok so I know I’ve been really lazy at the moment but I literally just can’t help it. I am up to my eyeballs with work and social life and trying to visit family all at the same time! Life gets stressful! Also, I am not sure what I am allowed to say and what not to say because I signed a contract when starting at Adidas and I wouldn’t like to say the wrong thing.

So I am in the end of my third week now and I have just one more week to go until the end of my contract is up. Next week is the Press day and we have all be seriously busy preparing ourselves for the event. I have had countless meetings and presentations with celebrities, interior designers, bloggers and journalists all week. My week started with walking around with the interior designers with a map my manager had given me to show where they would like to display objects for our press day to be placed and what features, plants, posters and lighting etc. they would like. There is two interior designers so I had to repeat myself twice in a meeting with these guys.

I also was able to go along to a gig at o2 Brixton to see stormzy perform live. Which was so much fun! Again I have been able to attended photo shoots and represent Adidas at numerous press day and launches. I have also been lucky enough to meet Super model Jourdan Dunn. I was able to lay out clothes for her shoot she was doing abroad.

The highlight of my week was being able to assist Toni Tran (fashion blogger of fashitects) with some samples for a shoot he was doing with a super yacht in Southampton. I really enjoyed meeting him for coffee and then showing the samples we had on offer for his shoot. I am so happy my manager gave me the opportunity to do this. The rest of the week I have been preparing the press clippings in a folder for the managers to take away to the head office in Germany at the start of next week, they then come back and a day later it’s the press day! So it has to be perfect for them to come back in.

I am off to get some sleep now and I am going home for the weekend for some chill time. So apologies if I do not post for a while.

Oops! Its been a long week

Its been a while since I posted last. I know, I know… That you should make time for these things but I literally have had the most fantastic time this week.

I have been lucky enough this week to be invited to the press event for the Pharell Williams collection for the Superstar Supercolours. We have been working for the end of last week into this week trying to come up with innovative and creative ideas to really promote off the Supercolours. Last week we were given a few swatches of colours that could be the colour you could select to have as your trainer. With this we needed a creative idea to go with the whole theme. My idea was one of the creations that actually got picked which was to have a tree in the middle of a building which the trainers hanging from branches, then for the consumers to pick the trainer they like from the tree which would be their gift (in PR its all about gifting and for well known names to be seen supporting the brand you work for basically).  The week has been manic and when it finally come to the press event we were told just to enjoy ourselves. Of course I couldn’t I wanted to work for the brand so I made sure I spoke to as many people I could and made sure they where leaving with a smile. There were Photo booths, huge bar stocked with so many different drinks, hostess services throughout the entire evening, gifts, music and even a light show on the river.

It has been amazing and crazy, I literally go to work then come back home to then go to sleep and repeat it the next day.

wooowweeee week!

Hey!


This has been the best week ever! I love working for Adidas. I love sports, performance and the fashion side to this lifestyle brand! This week I have helped created Presentations, Press clippings into a design file and been able to go onto set. This is somewhere I would really like to work in the future, I feel my personality is so fitted within working for sport and lifestyle.

I have also been gifted three items of clothing and another free pair of trainers!

Next week I am holding a presentation to the global and marketing manager, entertainment team and few other interns (they have been taken on for the press day). The fact they have chosen me to hold the presentation is amazing! I jumped at the chance! We will also be brainstorming ideas for the press day and how we want each item located within the show rooms.

Im looking forward to it.

Wow... Thats Cool!

Okay so that’s so cool. Today when I arrived at Adidas on my Third Day I walked into the office and greeted everyone with a friendly ‘Helooooo’ and everyone seemed tense. I asked if anyone needed help and if they was okay. My manager came and greeted me and asked for me to help him clean the show room quickly as Rita Ora was arriving any minute! I was like WHATTTTT! Anyways we frantically got it tidy and the entertainment team brought beverages, breakfast and other goodies. MY manager and myself left the room to be greeted by the entourage and Rita Ora herself, she was covered in Chanel pearls. I was in awe. I said hello and showed them into the room and they were all so friendly and thankful! I was lucky enough to be working in the showroom next door so I could hear all the crazy and cool clothing ideas they were brainstorming (as the walls were thin, oh and Pineapple dance studios are located next door so I had hip-hop to ballet music all day every day lol). My manager offered me breakfast and asked if I would like to come on set for Instyle and I was overjoyed she asked me so I was lucky enough to go onto set in London. We then returned to the office after spending hours on set helping, assisting and working from the set location, Rita Ora and her entourage were still in the office and were just leaving as we got in. So as we pulled up in the taxi we nearly run over three people from paparazzi! My manager was leaving early so he told me I could go home early and gave me a free pair of trainers! I love working here!!

First Day AGAIN!

Today I started at Adidas and it was CRAZZZYYY!

On arrival I was greeted by many famous quotes, history, inspirations and images that makes up the brand of Adidas from the man himself Adi Dassler.

I was greeted by a very friendly security guard who assisted me up the stairs to the first floor where I had to sign in and go through my contract, whilst going through the mass of paperwork the marketing and Global PR manger came and sat with me and went through my contract. The showed me around and took me to the many show rooms all the different housed brands by Adidas hold. They then told me that I would be looking after a brand called Y-3, Mary Katrantzou and Porsche designs.

The office where I would spend my days was split into two they had the marketing team of Adidas Origianals and Adidas Spezial and then you had the entertainment team who dealt with VIP requests and hosted events etc. I was on the marketing team and when needed I would assist anywhere I could. I was given a laptop with a log in and would use that aswell as my Iphone to deal with requests. I familiarised myself with the Excel spreadsheets full of different contacts and also found all the sample log in and out sheets which seem well organized but could be more oganised if it was in date order. I pitched this idea to the Marketing nd Global PR manager who was so happy that I could do that for them. So for the rest of my first day it was spent answering emails, asking questions to the managers and sorting in date order the sample request and send back forms.

The day went so quick and headed back home and looking forward to tomorrow!
