Trip to Borough Market

On Thursday the 19th of September, we went on a trip to Borough Market. We arrived at the market at around 11;45 and had a talk with a representative for the market. We were given a talk about information about the market and was given a folder full of posters, newsletters, book marks and business cards. We then took a walk around the market and spoke to trades men, had a look at the items being sold, tasted exotic food and brought out lunch. We took plenty of photographs and sketched many of the items being sold. We then met up and started walking to the Tate Modern. On the way we walked past a banksy piece of graffiti and a building where 'lock, stock and two smoking barrels.' We then took a walk around the Tate where we saw live art which included a group of performers did a song. After looking round for a good hour, we went to our next gallery called the Bankside Gallery. The gallery was small and quick to look round.

After finishing off at our second gallery we managed to loose one of our classmates and had to wait around for quite some time for him to return to our meeting point. I would say we waited for a good hour. After chasing him up by ringing him more than ten times, he eventually arrived and we set off to  the oxo tower.

We arrived at the oxo tower and had a look around, there was people painting and shopping. There were a bunch of shops a cafe, clothing stores and information centres. After finishing at the oxo we went to walk down to a punk exhibition of all punk art which was really good. Just down the stairs from the punk gallery was the south bank skatepark.

After the long day of walking and loosing people we then watch an entertainer dance as we waited for the coach to arrive, And we set off around four. I throughly enjoyed my day out in London. I love the atmosphere and the hustle and bustle of the market. London is a lovely place and enjoy our trips there.
