Show Time at the college

Our show was taken down at Burgate ready to be put up at the College that will be on for around three weeks. Taken down the wooden boards and peoples work was a job that only took the morning to do. We dismantled the wooden boards and packed them away carefully and safely. We took down then work and neatly and carefully with care we piled them ready to come back to the college.

We then prepared that afternoon to start putting up the bigger boards for our work at the college. Barry helped all of us out by putting up the wooden boards. Many of us cut 1 inch long worth of velcro for the other images we want on display. We chose the work we would like to put on display and gave most of them a make over to look up to date and better. After getting our work confirmed by the tutors we then got them printed. We put the images on a harddrive which Barry and Danny printed off our work and mounted them to a foam board, then using the velcro we then put around 6 strips of these on the back of the mount which these were then ready to go onto the wooden boards at the college. This was my image i tweaked to have to be put up at the show. The image it was originally created for was the magazine project within the task of creating images inspired by the artist David Carson. I am happy with the imagery i have used here and made it look like a sex pistols design in the punk era.

All of our group helped the get the show upcoming and ready to be officially opened this week. After everyones prints were printed and mounted a handful of us helped put the work up on the boards down at the student union area which i show will he held. We peeled back the tape that was preserving the velcro and placed onto the wall in works of four with a wide range of colours so its not all the same on a board. I helped with this and i also took pictures of the process of our group doing this to help.
